Size J Elastic Tubular Support Bandage, 6.9″ x 33 ft

Size J is an extra-wide size: 6.9 inches wide laid flat, on a continuous 33 foot roll, fitting a circumference of 22–32″ (56–81 cm). It is used for very large thighs, hips, a large waist and smaller trunk areas.

Finding the right size

Measure around the widest part of the area you want to cover, then check that number falls between 22–32″. Measure the body part, not the bandage, and measure while any swelling is present — that changes the figure considerably. If a dressing will sit underneath, allow for the extra bulk. Between two sizes, the smaller gives firmer support and the larger gives more room.

How it works

A tubular elastic support bandage is a seamless knitted tube. You cut the length you need and slide it on like a sleeve, so there is no tape on the skin, no clips and no pins to work loose. The knit applies even pressure right around the covered area instead of the ridges you get from wrapping, and it moves with the joint rather than restricting it.

Material and care

An 80% cotton and 20% elastic knit. The open structure lets air through, so it stays comfortable through a full day rather than trapping heat. Machine washable and made to be reused; air drying is gentler on the elastic than a tumble dryer. Replace it when it no longer returns to shape.
